Important Dates for the SSC CGL 2025 Exam

SSC CGL Vacancy 2025
The number of vacancies to be filled through SSC CGL Recruitment 2025 will be notified with the release of an official SSC CGL 2025 notification. Last year, 17727 vacancies were released for Group B and C posts for various graduate-level posts and in the coming year also we can expect a huge number of vacancies. SSC CGL 2025 Eligibility
Candidates must meet the minimum eligibility criteria for the specific post for which the candidates will appear for the SSC CGL 2025 Exam. The detailed SSC CGL Eligibility will be released with the notification pdf for the posts announced.
Education Qualification- A Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field from a recognized university or institution for the most interested is required.
Age Limit – 18 – 32 years (varies post-wise)
SSC CGL Selection Process 2025
Two years ago, SSC revised the selection process, and now only two-tier exams will be conducted to shortlist candidates for various Group B and C posts under the SSC CGL Notification 2025. SSC CGL Examination will be conducted in four tiers as indicated below:
- Stage 1 Tier-I : Computer-Based Examination (Qualifying in nature).
- Stage 2 Tier-II : Paper I (Compulsory for all posts), Paper II for candidates who apply for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation.
- All candidates who have applied successfully for the SSC CGL exam, will be assigned Roll numbers and Admit Cards for appearing in the Computer-Based Examination (Tier-I).
- Based on the marks scored in Tier-I, candidates will be shortlisted, category-wise, to appear in Tier-II Examination.
- Separate cut-offs will be released separately for Paper-II of Tier-II (i.e. for the post of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO), and for Paper-I of Tier-II (i.e. for all other posts).
- Tier-II Examinations will be conducted for all the candidates qualified in Tier-I.
- In Tier II, all the candidates will be required to appear in Paper-I and Paper-II. However, only specific candidates shortlisted for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) will be required to appear in Paper-II.
- The final selection list will be prepared on the basis of marks scored by the candidates solely in Paper 2.

SSC CGL 2025 Online Application Form
The registration process for the SSC CGL 2025 exam will be conducted online mode only. All eligible candidates can fill out the SSC CGL online application form from 22 April to 21 May 2025 by visiting the official website www.ssc.gov.in.
SSC CGL 2025 Application Fee
The candidates have to pay Rs. 100/- while submitting their SSC CGL Application Form online at www.ssc.gov.in. Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, and ESM are eligible for reservation and are exempted from payment of application fees. the application fee has to be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, or RuPay Debit cards only.
Steps to Apply for SSC CGL 2025
- Visit the new official website of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) at www.ssc.gov.in.
- On the homepage click on "Apply" under Quick Links.
- Now click on "Apply" against Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2025.
- If you are a new user, then click on "Register Now" and create a new user name/registration number and password for yourself.
- Now login with your Username (Registration Number) and Password and fill in the captcha code carefully.
- Enter the required details in the fields and attach the documents which are asked for in the application form.
